Creativity, imagination, and a carefully considered technique are essential to marrying the proportions of an artwork with those of a dress or coat. In Fall 2022, for example, the grid aesthetic and colorful squares of German artist Reinhard Voigt inspired Albert Kriemler and his team to create asymmetrical dresses sewn together from two printed fabric squares. Only this way can a new version of art emerge in the textile works of Akris.
Collector's Items
In the early 2000s, Albert Kriemler began to explore the fascinating scope of new digital photo printing techniques. They allow paintings, architectural pieces, and photos, which have inspired Albert Kriemler and his team, to be presented in a new and exciting form on textiles. While the prints are the inspiration of a season, they become collector's items, coveted by the women who wear them for years.
