A century in fashion. Watch the Akris 100 year anniversary show. With the Spring 2023 collection, Akris celebrates its 100 year anniversary. For this collection, creative director Albert Kriemler was inspired by his 1978 to 1992 archival pieces photographed for the book Akris – A Century in Fashion. Staged in the spectacular fountain courtyard shared by the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’art Moderne de Paris, the spring looks were presented in front of WE ARE POEMS, a rainbow-colored artwork by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. The collection—as does the rainbow—stands for a rebeginning and a moment where past, present, and future coexist. A look back to move forward into a new century!
