Behind every collection lies a story — one that begins at home. Felsenstrasse 40, Akris.
Continuing Fall’s exploration of the blue hour, the Akris Winter/Cruise 2026 collection draws inspiration from the moment just before sunrise. Clean lines and quiet luminosity define the pieces, capturing the clarity of daybreak reimagined through fabric — the comforting simplicity of cashmere and the timeless ease of denim.
Photographed against the textured backdrop of the Akris ateliers — from the fabric storeroom to the spiral staircases — the collection offers a glimpse inside the heart of Akris, the house where each
creation is born.
Every Akris piece is imagined and developed within the house — a quiet devotion to authenticity and independence.
This dress, in sea-fan lace coated for a lacquered sheen and tactile structure, is an expression of that craftsmanship.

Every fabric tells a story.
As a child, Creative Director Albert Kriemler spent countless afternoons labeling fabric samples in the family warehouse.
Some of those swatches still rest in these green drawers, now the backdrop for one of his favorite materials: Japanese denim.
An encyclopedia of texture, tone, and time.
Each book holds hundreds of fabric samples, supplier notes, compositions, and purchase dates — a living archive of Akris’ knowledge. A century of fabrics, bound in books.
A wooden drawer that holds our history.
Inside — lace and embroidery samples from the 1930s to the 1960s.
Once Alice Kriemler Schoch’s archive, now a living memory in the St. Gallen headquarter — a quiet reminder of where every thread began.
Form in progress.
As in haute couture, Creative Director Albert Kriemler works only on real models — refining each piece with his pattern-makers through countless fittings and adjustments.
Between these sessions, the dress form becomes their space to think, test, and perfect — a dialogue between idea and form.

Handbag Archive — Where design takes shape.
The Ai marked the beginning of the Akris handbag line in 2009. Today, Anouk, Alex, Anna, and Alice — the foundation of a family that continues to evolve — are held in the Akris handbag archive, where form and function take shape.
It’s the sound of the machine.
“I grew up to the steady hum of sewing machines,” says Albert Kriemler, Creative Director of Akris. Still today, that sound runs through the house in St. Gallen — a reminder that true craftsmanship is always in motion.
Not just a pair of scissors.
Even cutting a pattern requires years of practice — a skill passed down and perfected by Akris masters, many of whom have been part of the house for decades.
Every pattern is a blueprint.
From Alyson Shotz’s cyanotype to the precise patterns that shape each silhouette — creativity and construction begin the same way: on paper, in blue.
