FALL 2026
For Fall 2026, the Creative Director Albert Kriemler collaborated with
textile artist Olga de Amaral, whose hands weave, knot, and braid humble
materials, wool, linen, horsehair, into luminous, elaborate structures that
hold presence.

The collection is an exploration of color and texture: glistening, fragmented jacquard; sumptuous, layered knits; and supple yet lightweight leather shaped by light and craft. A reminder that tactile experience is elemental — stimulating the senses, triggering memory, affirming presence — just as clothes do against the skin. Beyond thought, it invites sensation.
Gold Sequin Fringe
Olga de Amaral’s gold, central to her work and defined by light, warmth, and
reflection, became a defining reference for the collection.
For Akris, a house not instinctively associated with gold, its appeal lay in de
Amaral’s subtle transformation of the material: gold not as ornament, but as
luminosity.
One look, two pieces, infinite
possibilities. An evolution of the Duo Concept, this season’s version
introduces a relaxed, workwear-inspired lumber jacket silhouette.
The Duo Concept is built on
layering — an idea first developed for Fall 2024. Designed to be worn in three
different ways, this season’s version can be styled as one complete piece or
separated into a leather gilet and suede jacket. The interplay of smooth
leather and soft suede brings texture and an easy, relaxed attitude to the
silhouette. Smart, versatile, and adaptable, the Duo responds to different
occasions, inspired by the complexity of women’s lives and the enduring appeal
of layering.

Oro Lienzo
In Olga de Amaral’s Lienzo
series, intricate “waterfalls” of color emerge from a spiderweb of individual
linen threads, creating fluid gradations that seem to move across the surface.
The Oro Lienzo print translates this woven language into the collection,
keeping the thread structure of the artwork visible while carrying its golden
depth onto silk crepe blouses and a wool crepe double-face dress. In a gown and
skirt, the idea takes on a more tactile dimension, with fringes falling like
threads around the body. Across print and movement, the motif becomes less a
print than a trace of weaving.
