A Vivid Tribute
Feather-light, floating forms, expressive strokes, poetic colors. At times blooming and floral, at others strictly geometric. The patterns are delicate yet still contemporary today. This Akris Collector's Scarves Edition honors the boundless design fantasy of a remarkable artist of Viennese Modernism: Felice „Lizzi“ Rix-Ueno.

Finesse in Every Detail
Curated by Akris Creative Director Albert Kriemler, this limited edition showcases ten unique scarves that capture Lizzi's vibrant cosmos of shapes and colors. Spun from pure Italian cashmere and printed in Italy with reinterpreted Lizzi patterns, the hem of each scarf is hand-rolled and hand-fringed in our ateliers.

Felice Lizzi Rix-Ueno
Felice Lizzi Rix-Ueno studied under Josef Hoffmann, a co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte (1903–1932). Inspired by Japanese design language, she developed her own independent style, expressed through particularly imaginative fabric and wallpaper patterns, fashion, and home accessories. In her second home, Japan, she also made her mark as a founder of her own design institute while continuing to work for the Wiener Werkstätte.
This Collector’s Scarves edition not only pays homage to Felice Lizzi Rix-Ueno but also celebrates the spirit of Viennese Modernism, a movement that redefined the role of women in art and society. Each scarf in this collection is a testament to the independent, witty, and radiant female artists of that era.

The Collector's Scarves
Since the early 2000s, Albert Kriemler explored the fascinating scope of new digital photo techniques for printed fabrics. Since then, the Akris Creative Director continuously finds inspiration in inventive works by contemporary artists, photographers, and architects, transforming them into collector’s items, such as engaging photo printed scarves, coveted by the women who wear them for years.
Meaningful, versatile, sophisticated: these collectible textiles also make beautiful gifts.
