The High Low

The High Low

“The Akris look is very much part of a tradition of refined minimalism in the arts, architecture, and design.” – Albert Kriemler

The asymmetric high-low hemline steps into the spotlight in the Spring-Summer 2020 collection, calling back to Akris’ logo-less logo. As the season marks 10 years of the Ai handbag, this collection draws its central theme from the trapezoid shape that inspired the now iconic accessory.

In true Akris style, the unique geometric shape stands tall in the asymmetric hemlines of dresses and skirts. The high front of the hemline allows the wearer to move about freely while the low silhouette in the back billows gracefully, adding visual interest and highlighting its flattering trapezoidal shape.
