Imi Knoebel's Kinderstern as allover print on the Akris maxi dress

"It’s fun, it’s whimsical, it’s meaningful. The Kinderstern in my collection is a joyous note of optimism,” Albert Kriemler says; a metaphor for a moment, in which a sense of joy is so refreshing.

The Kinderstern stands for the rights of children. It is their artwork in times of need. A true social sculpture, the Kinderstern is part of an ongoing work series, which is contributed by German artist Imi Knoebel to support children in need through Kinderstern e.V., a nonprofit organization founded by Carmen Knoebel in 1989.
