Leave it to Albert Kriemler when it comes to creating the perfect tailored yet airy summer suit. Breezy wool crêpe drapes ever so subtly around the body
A big amount of artistry goes into creating the perfect suit for the early Pre-Fall season, when temperatures tend to be still really summery. Who wants to be hot in a suit, be it in a meeting or for a night on the town? “I wanted the double-breasted jacket to be really relaxed and airy, like a very light cardigan, obviously without lining”, Albert Kriemler says. Being the fabric virtuoso he is, he opted for a light wool crêpe double-face. “There are probably only four weavers in the entire world who are able to weave such a sophisticated fabric.” he says. The barely-there black windowpane check is a subtle hint that we are in the later days of summer, plain white being reserved for early summer. The jacket has a looser volume for breeze, but still remains perfectly fitted. If it were not for a little padding to create the unique Akris shoulder silhouette, the jacket is devoid of any internal structure or lining. It is the fabric and the tailoring that make it drape around the body of a woman so perfectly well.
Wear it with the silk crêpe blouse with scarf collar and ribbon detail for serious pursuits or without a top for a more relaxed summer outing. And never forget to pair it with our Anouk day bag in ecru cervocalf leather with horsehair stripes.
