Color-Blocking That Comes With A Secret

Color-Blocking That Comes With A Secret

Colorama, a bold color blocking composition, defines the season, looking strikingly modern and minimalistic. We take pleasure in asking you to guess how old this design is.

Is it
A) from 1960s Pop Art ?
B) from the 1920 Bauhaus ?
C) more than 200 years old ?

Well, even though it looks so now, the geometrical composition was painted to illustrate Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s color theory. The German poet, philosopher and scientist published it in 1810, just before the Biedermeier era. He explored how color influences our mood, a topic far ahead of his time, but very relevant today. It inspired Albert Kriemler, who loves to explore color, for his Fall/Winter 19 collection.

Dazzle in the Colorama Skirtsuit
You can expect a head-turning skirt suit in every Akris collection. It will always include a seasonal update of the iconic Akris jacket. Case in point: The Colorama inspired Look Number 1 in the Paris defile, with a roomier jacket and new wrap-style skirt, both in bi-color double-face cashmere with multicolor horsehair inserts and the matching Ai-bag

Make a mark in the Colorama Pantsuit
The pantsuit is a defining element for the Akris look. Albert Kriemler has evolved the pantsuit far from emulating a male uniform into a new territory of bold colors, head-turning prints and feminine yet authority-inspiring cuts. Which brings us to the print version of Colorama. Apart from its striking visual impact, the roomy double-face wool jacket and high-waisted pant, worn here with a matching Colorama print silk crêpe blouse, never cease to deliver warmth, ease and style.

Indulge in the Colorama Silk blouse
Never ignore the small print. Featuring a more discreet print version, the Colorama print silk georgette blouse is the perfect top for a daytime office outfit that transforms into a dinner look. Note the open back of the blouse, covered with a jacket when at your desk and revealing a more feminine side without the jacket at the dinner table. The high-waisted pant is one of these Akris items that are always perfectly right, wherever you are heading.
